totally understand the buttons..and the wings, too for that matter..
in fact, not much in this set i wouldn't have snagged up, too!
any chance some of these goodies will be on line with prices?
thanks!
i want this chair!
Love the pigeon.
Ohh K..the wings and feathers were made for me, as was the pigeon portrait. But the leather campaign chair is to die for....you can't use it? That would be hard for me to part with. Love this type of post. Have a great week...k
I'd use the wings to make a helmet for Mercury. Or maybe for me.
The salad bowl is fabulous! What a great haul, Kevin. Like everyone else, I love the pigeon painting.
Hi Kevin, You have found some cool treasures. I luv the oil of the pigeon. Is it going to your shop? Thanks for sharing your finds...............Julian
As an old artist, I've been shopping vintage and antique art supplies for a long time. Love your goodies. I can't seem to find sellers who think they are any less than priceless with prices to match!
The pigeon is great, I agree. The back is being removed to see if it is really a painting or a print on tin. It's 3d, which makes it all the more charming. Everything is going out today, minus the salad bowl, which I have never seen before. A crab, how wonderful is that. Julian, I sell to the stores, which would explain the Hollywood Picker. I am just one more source for the showroom owners. It's the job I love the most.
The chair? I have googled, researched books looking for a lead. It's so 1970's Big Sur, kinda of hippie. We shall know today. And Mark, the Mercury wing idea is great.
oh man! nice pickings for sure! buttons and easels for me! the kite winder is pretty cool too!
and since we've had just a little critter carnage again here at our house, i'll pass on the wings, as beautiful and poetic as they are.
Certainly one of the nicest campaign chairs I have seen. It would be kinda cool to hook toddlers in little Victorian leather pants up to the kite handler instead of those dorky kid leashes.
great stuff...the artist's pallete, especially...
I love the quips you've added!
The Campaign chair is particularly amazing as is most of this selection. The pigeon I would hang on my wall in no time at all
love the campaign chair!
and the wooden bowl is incredible! i'm not getting married!?!
feathers to go in someone's xmas tree? memories.....
w hollywood chair great too. oh kevin! the easel and the paint on the artist's board.
.....
so glad i finally got my google id fixed. i can comment and comment and comment....
The rag doll looks nearly identical to a toaster cover doll my mom had in the 50s. The skirt was so full it fit over the toaster. You've got some great treasures!
