are you reading my husbands mind? if he had his way we'd be living in a little trailer on a patch of land out in the middle of nowhere. that's his lotto dream. can you believe it?
Hello: Such a caravan! Would that it were ours! As new bloggers we have been so pleased to have discovered your interesting and eclectic blog and have signed up immediately to be able to stay in touch.
Kevin - been a while since I dropped by - lots of fun new stuff. I love how happy this trailer pic is. Also, I love thos cacti that you posted about below. I call them "fire sticks" Go figure.
Hi Kevin, A young woman in my neighborhood has done just this. She found an old trailer, cleaned it up, decorated and painted it, hung the christmas lights and parked it off to the side of her front yard, where she uses it as a party space and guest room. It is ADORABLE. The rest of her yard is equally quirky and creative, so it seems...perfect. Have a fabulous weekend! Karin
Kevin Baby, I am living your dream and it is a nightmare. While my contractor dwadles around building a dwelling for me I am living in a small camper trailer. There are no available utilities so I use propane to cook and a really noisy generator to make electricity. My living room is 7 feet wide by 3 feet deep. The air conditioner is in the ceiling and when it is on condensation leaks down on whomever is under it. And it is noisy too. Had to put in a new tiny refrigerator -$650: turns out everything for trailers cost 3 times as much as you would expect. The windows all operate with tiny plastic cranks, hard to operate and hard on your hands. There is one undeniable joy - air. The air blows right through the damned thing and that is good because when it hot the trailer is hot but at night when it cools down that air takes the heat away. Bottom line -don't sell the house.
