is someone liking the video camera? :) The big hand and the skull go perfectly with the heads in the cabinet! Seriously, I love the mix and especially that cool floral chair in the corner. Thanks for the tour....cook up something in the kitchen next.
I love this format for gaining a glimpse of your life & home. You are one of my favorite bloggers & I long to have a look at your house in person someday. Our tastes overlap, including Joni Mitchell & our sensibilities meld. North & South versions.
Hi, Here is the "edge" I was talking about--perfectly controlled. For example, I loved the dark wall which resolved into pictures of classical ruins, also the mysterious blue light from the kitchen. Hard to pick a favorite object--maybe the )I hope antique) coral letter-opener? --Road to Parnassus.
Our goal on this site is to introduce the many places, people, and things in Hollywood. Not the business but the community, the working people, how they live and where. How the business of Hollywood is ever present and so often very far away. Now about Kevin, he is an artist-designer living in an old house in the heart of Hollywood. He has come to realize you never get discovered in Hollywood, you discover Hollywood.
Yes, it's me Kevin. Thanks for dropping in and exploring Hollywood forever, Kevin. I am honored to have you here. I would like to share a few things about myself. I am a designer, an artist, and a dealer of antique and vintage decorative arts. I design residential and commercial interior and exterior spaces. When I'm not designing, I'm sleeping, and even then I may shout out colors. My passion as well, is collecting and selling decorative arts. I am a treasure hunter. So this is where you come in my friend, please join me for a new season, of shopping flea markets, collecting, designing, and new private tours of the best showrooms in the city. I have lots of exciting plans so stay tuned.

You are simply terrific Kevin in Hollywood.
On second viewing I noticed that the office is rather a Dr. Kevin's Room of Curiosities. Love the doll head collection. I think I love you!
Stephen!
Your cheating heart.....
I was just going to point out that I could easily work this room, only to find out that Stephen has already moved in....
I adore your person.

You must be the designer that novelist Joe Keenan had in mind when he referred to a "collaboration between Mario Buatta and Charles Addams".
Sarah, Thanks and I will cook up something in the kitchen, just for you.
Janet, What can I say but thanks, you are the best. Wait till I show the new curtains.
Stephen, I love you too, as well as your wonderful blog, and of course our Joni.
Wally, don't be mad at Stephen, he will come back to you, all men do.
Parnassus, I love your blog and thanks for the kind words. Sorry the coral letter opener is new, one of the few things you'll find new in this house.
Anonymous, Thank you, that is a huge compliment.
I'm sure that hand will creep about the place at night!
Fantastic workspace! I love your furnishings, the lamps, the cabinet, the books, and most of all ..... those creepy little doll heads. Very cool.
