Is there not another way to help the environment than to have these horrible LED lights, I ask you. Help! The city of Los Angeles has decided that they are now going to install these vile white over bright lights through out the city. And now we have them in the neighborhood. Now my  street looks like a murder scene on a airport runway.
Los Angeles is famous for doing everything ass-backwards, so with the help of neighbors and myself walking door to door, the city now has to come back and fix the wattage and put up shields. The biggest waste of time and money if you ask me. And did I say how much I hate these lights and Al Gore if you had just talked to me first we could have come up with a better pedestrian way of helping the earth, like maybe we can stop buying cheap junk from China.
As a designer this is the worse nightmare. No one will ever convince me, ever, that this is the right way to help Mother Earth.
So, is there any one out there that hates LED lights? Please let me know so I'll feel better. Misery loves company!

BORDER LINE

I know I don't shy away from the extreme or the eccentric, I never have. Thankfully now, I have an audience that shares my taste and whats better they pay for the pleasure. What you see in this video is a display case at the Pasadena Antique Center Annex. It is mine. Although I sell Mid Century Modern pieces and glamorous Hollywood Regency to the stores and all the other things in style, this you see before you is my passion. At least right now. The handmade, folksy, made by Americans, things invented in garages these type of things I'm drawn to, more than ever.

BACK TO PALM SPRINGS

Here is just a quick glimpse of  some of the interior of my clients Palm Springs rental. This client is fun and thankful and I couldn't be more thankful myself. He had everything. A enormous art collection, rugs, furniture, you name it, he had it. He just needed me to pull it all together for him. Although it was hotter than hell and my feet are killing me, I think it's turning out well. Life is good.

OLD RUGGED CROSS

No ya'll I haven't  found Jesus (but for those who have, more power to you), I just wanted to show off my garden wall project. For years I've looked up at that wall with the cross and said Kevin, you gotta get some clay pots up there. Well, some coffee did the trick. Regarding the religious symbol, it's been in family for centuries and the law of the land is it must stay in the family. So there it hangs.

Check out this website ( http://www.sireseyewear.com/) featuring eye glasses made from wood, yes, that's right wood. They are light as a feather, handsome, chic, and I want a pair so, so bad.  And by the way the person (whom you don't see) asking the questions and using the term awesome over and over again is a well known actor demonstrating his IQ.

You guys know the answer, yes, I bought the pair of blue flower pots. This pair has the dreamiest matte blue glaze I have ever seen. The pots are Gainey Ceramics made in La Verne, Ca.. This company is still in business and have a wonderful web site, you my want to check out.. From the looks of bottom hallmark, I would say they were made in the 60's to the 70's. It's no secret  how I feel about the color blue, so these will not be easy to say goodbye to. But you know, the boy has to pay the rent.
